Rather, it finds expression in its utter abhorrence of what is wicked, avoiding what is bad and those intensely hating Jehovah.

19 But why has God tolerated evil spirits and the wickedness that has caused people so much suffering?

Even direct intervention by God failed to produce faith in those wicked men.

22. “악한 사람들과 속이는 자들은 더욱 악하여”질 것이라고 사도 바울은 예언하였다.

“Wicked men and impostors will advance from bad to worse,” predicted the apostle Paul.

Actually, their polluted condition all hinged on their bad attitude toward Jehovah.

9 In the days of Noah, Jehovah brought mankind to ruin because of the extreme violence of wicked humans abetted by the Nephilim.

“Wicked men and impostors will advance from bad to worse,” predicts 2 Timothy 3:13.

A person’s failing to abhor what is wicked, no longer loathing it, can result in his becoming an object of Jehovah’s abhorrence.

The visions that John received regarding the wicked world’s final cataclysm have interested readers for centuries.

In addition, students learned about being fully committed to God and replacing evil influences in their lives with good ones.

Lest this happen to you, first examine the account to see if the facts do fit in our time.

Bible prophecies combine to indicate that this action to cleanse the world of Satan and his wicked forces will soon take place.

Our loyalty under current evil conditions actually makes God’s heart rejoice. —Proverbs 27:11.

But as for you, in case you have warned someone wicked and he does not actually turn back from his wickedness and from his wicked way, he himself for his error will die; but as for you, you will have delivered your own soul.” —Ezek.

We need to develop qualities that please Jehovah and perform works that are acceptable to him. —2 Pet.

Their spiritual armor includes “the large shield of faith, with which [they] will be able to quench all the wicked one’s burning missiles.”

A great mountain of opposition was raised by Satan’s wicked organization against Jehovah’s tiny army of illuminators right from the beginning of their public activities back in 1919.

After a moment of complete silence in the room, the culprit went up to the supervisor and confessed.

Paul reiterates his point: “On this account take up the complete suit of armor from God, that you may be able to resist in the wicked day and, after you have done all things thoroughly, to stand firm.”

69. 그러므로 하느님께서 주시는 온전한 갑주를 취하십시오. 그러면 여러분은 악한 날에 저항할 수 있을 것이며, 모든 것을 철저히 행한 후에 굳건히 설 수 있을 것입니다.”

On this account take up the complete suit of armor from God, that you may be able to resist in the wicked day and, after you have done all things thoroughly, to stand firm.”

70. 하느님의 이 악한 반대자의 멸절은 주 예수 그리스도께서 심판관으로 앉아서 활동하신다는 눈에 보이는 명확한 증거가 될 것이다. 그분은 자신의 표준에 따라 심판하지 않으실 것이다.

The annihilation of this wicked opposer of God will be visible, concrete proof that the Lord Jesus Christ is sitting and acting as Judge.

9 Continuing, the apostle counsels: “Take up the large shield of faith, with which you will be able to quench all the wicked one’s burning missiles.”

We can logically assume that when Jesus Christ further restricts Satan’s activity in order to free the earth of his wicked influence, He will do the same with the demons.

To illustrate that truth, let us briefly consider some of Jehovah’s qualities and see how Satan’s wicked rule has moved Jehovah to show these qualities in additional ways.

In his letter written from Palestine, probably in 65 C.E., Jesus’ half brother Jude warns fellow Christians about wicked ones who had slipped into the congregation, and he gives advice about how to resist bad influences.

(Lu 4:28, 29; Ac 14:19; 17:5) But often these parties are only the agents of more powerful and sinister instigators —unseen wicked spirit forces. —Eph 6:11, 12.

78. (사도행전 15:28, 29; 고린도 전서 6:9, 10; 요한 계시록 21:8) 그러한 불건전한 오락물을 배척함으로 우리는 참으로 “악한 것을 몹시 싫어”하고 언제나 “악에서 떠나” 있다는 것을 여호와께 분명히 보여 드리게 됩니다.

(Acts 15:28, 29; 1 Corinthians 6:9, 10; Revelation 21:8) By rejecting such unwholesome entertainment, you prove to Jehovah that you truly “abhor what is wicked” and consistently “turn away from what is bad.”

79. “서서 진리로 너희 허리 띠를 띠고 의의 흉배를 붙이고 평안의 복음의 예비한 것으로 신을 신고 모든 것 위에 믿음의 방패를 가지고 이로써 능히 악한 자의 모든 화전을 소멸하고 구원의 투구와 성령의 검 곧 하나님의 말씀을 가지라.

Above all things, take up the large shield of faith, with which you will be able to quench all the wicked one’s burning missiles.
