본 발명은 이산화탄소를 비롯한 산성 가스 포집 시스템에서, 흡수제 재생을 위해 재생탑에 제공해야 하는 열량을 감축시킬 수 있는 시스템 및 그 방법에 관한 것으로, 산성 가스를 포집하는 시스템에서 시스템 자체의 열을 활용하여 에너지 소모를 줄일 수 있는 산성 가스 포집 시스템 및 산성 가스 포집 방법을 제공한다. 본 발명의 시스템 및 방법은 포집 시스템의 흡수탑 상부에서 배출되는 흡수제 및 산성 가스를 포함하는 혼합 가스를 흡수탑 하부에서 배출되는 산성 가스를 흡수한 흡수제 용액의 일부와 열교환시키고 또한 상기 흡수제 용액의 일부를 제외한 나머지는 재비기에서 배출되는 고온의 재생된 흡수제용액과 열교환하여 상기 흡수제 용액을 예열시켜 재생탑으로 공급함으로써 재생탑에서 필요한 열 에너지를 절감할 수 있다.
