* इस प्रकार मैं इस सदन को यह सूचित करना चाहूंगा कि हमारा उद्देश्य सदैव की भांति श्रीलंका में तमिल समुदाय के लिए भविष्य का निर्माण करना है, जो समानता, गरिमा, न्याय तथा आत्मसम्मान पर आधारित हो।

79. They reaffirmed that India stands with Sri Lanka in its efforts to build a future that accommodates the aspirations of all sections of society, including the Sri Lankan Tamil community, for a life of equality, justice, peace and dignity in a united Sri Lanka.

उन्होंने इस बात की अभिपुष्टी की कि भारत श्रीलंका के साथ उसके द्वारा एक ऐसे भविष्य निर्माण के प्रयासों में साथ खड़ा है जिसके तहत समाज के सभी वर्गों जिनमें श्रीलंकाई तमिल समुदाय भी शामिल हैं, की संयुक्त श्रीलंका में समानता, न्यायोचित, शांति एवं सम्मानपूर्ण जीवन के लिए उनकी आकांक्षाएं शामिल हैं।

80. If the classification is not reasonable and does not satisfy the two conditions referred to above , the impugned legislation or executive action would plainly be arbitrary and the guarantee of equality under article 14 would be breached .

यदि वर्गीकरण युक्तियुक्त नहीं है और ऊपर उल्लिखित दो शर्तों को पूरा नहीं करता तो प्रतिवादित विधान या कार्यपालक कार्रवाई स्पष्ट रूप से निरंकुश होगी और वह अनुच्छेद 14 के तहत समानता की गारंटी का उल्लंघन होगी .
