As long as we follow the principles and procedures set out in the Agreements of 1993, 1996 and 2005, expand and improve upon them where necessary to take into account the changing reality of India and China and enhance dialogue and friendly exchanges between our border troops, I am confident that the strategic consensus between leaders will continue to be reflected on the ground.

जब तक हम 1993, 1996 और 2005 के करारों में निर्धारित सिद्धांतों एवं प्रक्रियाओं का अनुसरण करते रहेंगे, जहां भारत एवं चीन की बदलती सच्चाई को ध्यान में रखना आवश्यक है तथा हमारे सीमा सुरक्षा बलों के बीच वार्ता एवं मैत्रीपूर्ण आदान - प्रदान में वृद्धि करना आवश्यक है वहां उन पर विस्तार करना एवं सुधार करना जारी रखेंगे, तो मुझे पूरा यकीन है कि नेताओं के बीच सामरिक सर्वसम्मति जमीनी स्तर पर दिखना जारी रहेगी।

61. At the international level, there is - now though belated - consensus that a global financial stimulus is necessary to address what is, essentially, a global crisis; not only is there the need for a coordinated fiscal stimulus amongst countries, it is also important that special efforts need to be made to counter the shrinkage of capital flows to developing countries as well as to take recourse to innovative steps like swap arrangements.

देर से ही सही, परन्तु अंतर्राष्ट्रीय स्तर पर इस बात के संबंध में सहमति बनी है कि इस वैश्विक संकट का समाधान करने के लिए एक वैश्विक वित्तीय प्रोत्साहन पैकेज की आवश्यकता है। देशों के बीच न सिर्फ समन्वित, राजकोषीय प्रोत्साहनों की आवश्यकता है, बल्कि यह भी महत्वपूर्ण है कि विकासशील देशों में पूंजी प्रवाहों में कमी का मुकाबला करने के लिए विशेष प्रयास किए जाए और साथ ही स्वैप प्रबंधन जिसे नये उपायों का भी सहारा लिया जाए।

62. * The two sides reviewed with satisfaction the comprehensive and rapid progress of India-China relations in the last ten years, and reaffirmed their commitment to abiding by the basic principles and consensus concerning the development of India-China relations set out in the Declaration of Principles for Relations and Comprehensive Cooperation between India and China in 2003, the Joint Statement of India and China in 2005, the India-China Joint Declaration of 2006 and A Shared Vision for the 21st Century of India and China of 2008.

* दोनों पक्षों ने पिछले दस वर्षों के दौरान भारत-चीन संबंधों की व्यापक और तीव्र प्रगति की समीक्षा की और इस पर संतोष व्यक्त किया। साथ ही उन्होंने वर्ष 2003 में भारत और चीन के बीच संबंधों एवं व्यापक सहयोग से संबद्ध सिद्धांतों की घोषणा, वर्ष 2005 में भारत और चीन द्वारा जारी संयुक्त वक्तव्य,वर्ष 2006 में जारी भारत-चीन संयुक्त घोषणा तथा वर्ष 2008 में 21वीं सदी के भारत और चीन के साझे विजन में उल्लिखित बुनियादी सिद्धांतों के प्रति अपनी वचनबद्धता की पुष्टि की।
