कृषि व्यवसाय एवं खाद्य प्रसंस्करण में द्विपक्षीय व्यापार की उच्च संभावना को स्वीकार करते हुए दोनों विदेश मंत्रियों ने क्षरणशील उत्पादों के लिए टैरिफ एवं संभारतंत्रीय बाधाओं से संबंधित कठिनाइयों को दूर करने के तरीकों पर चर्चा करने की प्रतिबद्धता की।

71. Since this is a preferential trade agreement, the basket of items as well as extent of tariff concessions are enlarged during the trade negotiating rounds which are launched from time to time.

चूंकि यह एक तरजीही व्यापार समझौते है, इसलिए व्यापार समझौते के दौरान टैरिफ रियायतों को विस्तार दिया गया है और ऐसा समय समय पर किया जाता रहा है।

72. The Duty Free Tariff Preference Scheme announced by India for the Least Developed Countries should contribute towards this objective and out of 33 LDCs in Africa 19 have already acceded to this scheme.

अल्प विकसित देशों के लिए भारत द्वारा घोषित शुल्क मुक्त टैरिफ अधिमानता योजना से इस लक्ष्य को प्राप्त करने में योगदान मिलेगा। अफ्रीका के 33 अल्प विकसित देशों में से 19 पहले ही इस योजना में शामिल हो चुके हैं।

73. Mr. Guillermo Plata Paez and discussed ways to enhance the bilateral trade which has reached a record US$ 410 million in 2006; possibilities for concluding Investment Promotion and Protection Agreement; Preferential Tariff Arrangement; etc.

तत्पश्चात् मंत्री शर्मा ने विदेशी व्यापार, उद्योग और पर्यटन मंत्री श्री ग्यूलेरमो प्लाटा पेज से मुलाकात की और द्विपक्षीय व्यापार बढ़ाने के उपायों जो 2006 में 410 मिलियन अमरीकी डालर के रिकार्ड स्तर पर पहुंच गया है; निवेश संवर्द्धन और संरक्षण समझौता करने की संभावनाओं; अधिमान्य सीमा शुल्क व्यवस्था आदि पर विचार-विमर्श किया ।

74. Therefore, as I have always been saying, India has been a founder member of the General Agreement on Trade and Tariff (GATT) which is the body which then finally got converted into WTO.

इसलिए, जैसा कि मैं हमेशा से कहता आ रहा हूँ, भारत व्यापार एवं टैरिफ पर सामान्य करार (जीएटीटी) का एक संस्थापक सदस्य है जो ऐसी संस्था है जिसका अंतत: विश्व व्यापार संगठन (डब्ल्यू टी ओ) में परिवर्तित किया गया है।

75. They expressed the view that there is a need to significantly increase the number of tariff lines in the PTA, so that the coverage of the Agreement could be expanded to a sizeable level.

उन्होंने यह विचार व्यक्त किया कि अधिमानी व्यापार करार में टैरिफ लाइनों की संख्या में खासी वृद्धि करने की आवश्यकता है जिससे कि इस करार में अन्य मुद्दों को भी शामिल किया जा सके।

76. Under the South Asian Free Trade Area Agreement, Government of India has reduced the items in the Sensitive List for the Least Developed Countries, namely, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal and Maldives, from 480 to 25 tariff lines.

दक्षिण एशिया मुक्त व्यापार क्षेत्र करार के तहत, भारत सरकार ने अल्प विकसित देशों नामतः अफगानिस्तान, बंगलादेश, भूटान, नेपाल और मालदीव के लिए संवेदनशील सूची में मदों को 480 से घटाकर 25 प्रशुल्क कर दिया है।

77. The Sides also agreed to broaden cooperation through joint promotion of the Indian initiatives on eliminating non-tariff barriers in trade, increasing trade in services and structuring support and development of MSMEs in the BRICS format.

पक्षों ने ब्रिक्स प्रारूप में व्यापार में गैर शुल्क बाधाओं को नष्ट करने, सेवाओं में व्यापार वृद्धि और एमएसएमई का संरचना समर्थन एवं विकास पर भारतीय पहल के संयुक्त प्रोमोशन के माध्यम से सहयोग को व्यापक करने के लिए सहमति जताई।
