Then people come along in the service of the current Indonesian regime - they should be paid no heed or honour - to accuse Portugal of being the colonizing power and diverting attention away from the fact that this is a case of unfinished decolonisation business - this ignores the fact that the Indonesian government has not - yet - responded to the Portuguese initiative in the framework of negotiations under the aegis of the United Nations.

Und man verschone uns vor jenen Leuten, die im Dienste des derzeitigen Regimes in Indonesien Vorwürfe gegen Portugal als ehemalige Kolonialmacht erheben - sie mögen daran Gefallen finden, aber Ehre machen sie sich damit keine... Auf diese Weise will man ignorieren, daß es sich hier um eine nicht abgeschlossene Entkolonisierung handelt, und man will davon ablenken, daß die indonesische Regierung - noch? - nicht auf die portugiesische Initiative im Rahmen der Verhandlungen unter der Schirmherrschaft der Vereinten Nationen reagiert hat.
