+ 12 Consequently the people scattered about over all the land of Egypt to gather stubble for straw.

In reaching its climax, the prophecy states: “The house of Esau [must become] as stubble; and they must set them ablaze and devour them.

3. *+ 18 Und das Haus Jakob soll ein Feuer werden+ und das Haus Joseph eine Flamme und das Haus Ẹsau zu Stoppeln;+ und sie sollen sie in Brand setzen und sie verzehren.

*+ 18 And the house of Jacob must become a fire,+ and the house of Joseph a flame, and the house of Eʹsau as stubble;+ and they must set them ablaze and devour them.
