5. Ich freue mich insbesondere auf die Zusammenarbeit mit dem Justizminister und dem Innenminister, da dieses Gebiet mein Schwerpunkt in der Eigenschaft als Stellvertretende Vorsitzende der Fraktion der Progressiven Allianz der Sozialisten und Demokraten im Europäischen Parlament ist.

I am particularly looking forward to cooperating with the Minister for Justice and the Minister for the Interior, because this is the area I focus on as the Vice-Chair of the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats in the European Parliament.

Ich möchte mich zusammen mit Herrn Sassoli und allen Mitgliedern der Demokratischen Partei innerhalb der Fraktion der Progressiven Allianz der Sozialisten & Demokraten im Europäischen Parlament ihren Worten der Solidarität für den italienischen Premierminister, Silvio Berlusconi, anschließen und betonen, dass dies eine verabscheuungswürdige, inakzeptable und ungerechtfertigte Tat war.

Mr President, ladies and gentlemen, I, together with Mr Sassoli and all the members of the Democratic Party within the Group of the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats in the European Parliament, would like to echo your words of solidarity towards the Italian Prime Minister, Silvio Berlusconi, and stress that this was an abominable, unacceptable and unjustifiable act.
