2. Darüber hinaus sinkt die Mikroeichkurve stark ab, zeigt also hohe Empfindlichkeit, während die Kurve der Maxima nahezu linear bis leicht konvex gegen die Abszissenachse verläuft und somit keine Übereinstimmung mit der Mikroeichkurve mehr erkennen läßt.

We suggest the hypothesis that the three cone photopigments in human retina follow Dartnall's rule, that is their action spectra curves are identical, apart a translation parallel to the abscissae axis, if this axis is scaled in frequencies.

5. Es ergibt sich dabei, daß die Abszissenachse der Häufigkeitskurve in der fast allgemein üblichen Form (fälschlich: „über logarithmisch geteilter Abszisse“) linear nach einem „relativierenden Korngrößenmaß” von der Art der Phi-Grade oder Zeta-Grade geteilt werden muß!
