1. 관수(灌水) 세례(물을 뿌리는 것)였는가, 주수(注水) 세례(머리에 물을 붓는 것)였는가, 아니면 물에 완전히 잠기는 것이었는가?

Was it to be by aspersion (sprinkling), affusion (pouring on the head), or immersion (complete submersion)?

11 Today in the various church baptismal ceremonies of Christendom the following devices are included: godparents, breathing on the face of the candidate to exorcise evil spirits, making the sign of the cross, imposition of hands, putting “blessed” salt in the mouth of the candidate, touching the ears and nostrils with spittle of the priest, anointing with oil, the threefold ablution, white veil, lighted candles and other appendages of worship not provided by the Bible.

Reaffirming the belief that “the state of grace at the moment of death is absolutely necessary for salvation,” he encouraged the midwives to perform the baptism rite themselves if it appeared likely that a newborn child was going to die.

5. 2007년 4월 22일 교황청 산하 신학자문기구인 국제신학위원회는 교황 요한 바오로 2세로부터 위임을 받아 “세례 받지 않고 죽은 유아의 구원에 대한 희망”이라는 제목의 문서를 작성하였다.

6. 마찬가지로, ‘죤 칼빈’도 성서에의 고착은 말뿐이었으며 그의 주요 저서 「그리스도교 개요」에서 그는 삼위일체(제 1권), 인간은 자유 의지 없이 태어난다는 설(제 2권), 절대적인 예정설(제 3권) 및 유아 세례(제 4권)와 같은 비성서적 교리를 상술하였다.

Similarly, John Calvin paid lip service to the Bible, yet in his major work Institutes of the Christian Religion he expounded such unbiblical doctrines as the Trinity (Book I), man born with no free will (Book II), absolute predestination (Book III) and infant baptism (Book IV).
