1. Lo opuesto de sagrado es lo profano o seglar, lo que es temporal o mundano.

Điều trái ngược với thiêng liêng là trần tục hay thế tục—tức là vật chất.

2. No es el espíritu santo, o fuerza activa, de Dios lo que produce ‘enemistades, contiendas, altercaciones, divisiones, sectas’, sino un espíritu, o fuerza movedora, profano (Gálatas 5:19, 20).

Không phải thánh-linh hay sinh-hoạt-lực của Đức Chúa Trời đã gây ra “thù-oán, tranh-đấu, ghen-ghét, buồn-giận, cãi-lẫy, bất-bình, bè-đảng (chia rẽ)” mà là một tinh-thần xác thịt (Ga-la-ti 5:19, 20).
