1. Cambrian College was founded during the creation of the college system in Ontario as a trade school

2. The Abenaki Nation of Missisquoi will award at least one scholarship of up to $1,000 to an Abenaki high school senior at Missisquoi Valley Union High School who has been accepted to a four-year college, community college or trade school.

3. Franklin's Boston trust fund accumulated almost $5,000,000 during that same time; at the end of its first 100 years a portion was allocated to help establish a trade school that became the Franklin Institute of Boston, and the whole fund was later dedicated to supporting this institute.
