12. 13 The Levites are then set apart for Jehovah’s service, as a ransom for the firstborn of Israel.

13 그때 레위인은 이스라엘의 처음 난 자들을 위한 대속물로서, 여호와의 봉사를 위하여 구별된다.

13. The Levites receive 48 cities, 13 of which are priestly cities; 6 cities of refuge are set aside

레위 사람들은 48개 도시를 받는데, 그중 13개는 제사장들의 도시이다. 도피 도시로 여섯 곳이 정해진다

14. Not having this support, the Levites were abandoning their assignments and going off to work in their fields.

레위 사람들은 그러한 지원을 받지 못해서 임무를 저버리고 자기 밭에 가서 일하고 있었습니다.

16. The statement at Numbers 8:25, 26 indicates that at this age the Levites could still voluntarily assist those still eligible for assigned duties, but they themselves were given no direct assignment nor were they held accountable to fill such.

민수기 8:25, 26의 말씀은 레위 사람이 이 나이가 되면, 정해진 임무를 수행할 자격을 여전히 가지고 있는 사람들을 자원해서 계속 지원할 수는 있었지만 그 자신이 직접 임무를 맡지 않았고 그러한 임무를 수행할 책임도 없었음을 시사한다.
