1. You see thieves everywhere, bandits.

तुम हर जगह देखती हो चोर, डाकुओं को.

क्योंकि वे समलिंगी, शादी के बाहर यौन-संबंध रखनेवाले, पियक्कड़ या चोर थे।

घर में—क्योंकि चाहे आप घर में हों या न हों, आपके घर में चोर घुस सकते हैं, दरवाज़ों को बन्द और ताला लगा कर रखिए।

4. The Bible says that they had been ‘fornicators, adulterers, men who lie with men, thieves, greedy persons, drunkards.’

बाइबल बताती है कि वे ‘वेश्यागामी, परस्त्रीगामी, पुरुषगामी, चोर, लोभी और पियक्कड़ थे।’

5. Thieves cut vessels adrift from their moorings at night to plunder them, and small boats with contraband made a living plying the Thames.

रात के वक्त चोर नावों को लूटने के लिए उन्हें बाँध रखनेवाली रस्सियाँ काट देते थे, और अपनी छोटी-छोटी नावों से माल की तस्करी करके कमाई करते थे।
