यह परिकल्पना की गई थी कि अमेरिका अपने नियमों और नीतियों को समायोजित करेगा और भारत के साथ पूर्ण असैनिक परमाणु ऊर्जा सहयोग और व्यापार के लिए अंतर्राष्ट्रीय व्यवस्था को समायोजित करने के उद्देश्य से मित्रों और सहयोगियों के साथ काम करेगा ।

78. In addition, there are a large number of projects and cooperation programmes spanning areas such as S&T, Space, oil & natural gas, nuclear energy, trade and economy, mining & metallurgy, power, culture and tourism etc.

इसके अतिरिक्त विज्ञान एवं प्रौद्योगिकी, अंतरिक्ष, तेल एवं प्राकृतिक गैस, नाभिकीय ऊर्जा, व्यापार और अर्थव्यवस्था, खान एवं धातुकर्म, ऊर्जा, संस्कृति एवं पर्यटन इत्यादि क्षेत्रों में अनेक बड़ी परियोजनाएंं एवं सहयोग कार्यव्रम चलाये जा रहे हैं ।

79. * The two leaders reaffirmed their shared commitment to the total elimination of nuclear weapons and remained resolute in the task of strengthening international cooperation to address the challenges of nuclear proliferation and nuclear terrorism.

18. दोनों नेताओं ने परमाणु हथियारों के संपूर्ण उन्मूलन तथा परमाणु प्रचुरोद्भवन और परमाणु आतंकवाद की चुनौतियों का निवारण करने के लिए अंतर्राष्ट्रीय सहयोग के सुदृढ़ीकरण के कार्य के प्रति दृढ़ प्रतिज्ञ बने रहने की अपनी साझी प्रतिबद्धता की पुन:पुष्टि की।

80. The ‘Statement on Civil Nuclear Cooperation with India’ approved by the Nuclear Suppliers Group on September 6, 2008 contains India‟s reciprocal commitments and actions in exchange for access to international civil nuclear cooperation.

6 सितंबर, 2008 को नाभिकीय आपूर्तिकर्ता समूह द्वारा अनुमोदित ''भारत के साथ असैनिक नाभिकीय सहयोग पर वक्तव्य'' में अंतर्राष्ट्रीय असैनिक नाभिकीय सहयोग प्राप्त करने की एवज में पारस्परिक वचनबद्धताओं एवं क्रियाकलापों का समावेश किया गया है।
