नवंबर 2009 में यूरोपीय आयोग ने एक प्रमुख बाजार स्थिति के दुरुपयोग (अनुच्छेद 82) पर ईसी संधि के नियमों के संभावित उल्लंघन के सम्बन्ध में थॉमसन रॉयटर्स के खिलाफ औपचारिक विश्वास विरोधी कार्यवाही शुरू की।

3. Belgian Esperantist Germain Pirlot, a former teacher of French and history is credited with naming the new currency by sending a letter to then President of the European Commission, Jacques Santer, suggesting the name "euro" on 4 August 1995.

फ्रांसीसी और इतिहास के पूर्व शिक्षक बेल्जियम एस्पेरेंटिस्ट जर्मिन पर्लोट को यूरोपीय आयोग के अध्यक्ष जैक्स सेंटर को एक पत्र भेजकर नई मुद्रा का नामकरण करने का श्रेय दिया जाता है, जो 4 अगस्त 1 99 5 को "यूरो" नाम का सुझाव देते थे।

4. * Clean Development and Climate Change: An International conference on ‘Adaptation to Climate Variability and Change', jointly organised by the European Commission, the Indian Ministry of the Environment and Forests, and other multilateral and bilateral agencies, was held in New Delhi in December 2006.

* स्वच्छ विकास और जलवायु परिवर्तन: ‘जलवायु विचलनीयता और परिवर्तन की अनुकूलनीयता' पर दिसंबर 2006 में नई दिल्ली में एक अंतर्राष्ट्रीय सम्मेलन आयोजित किया गया जिसे यूरोपीय आयोग, भारत के पर्यावरण एवं वन मंत्रालय, तथा अन्य अंतर्राष्ट्रीय एवं द्विपक्षीय एजेंसियों ने संयुक्त रूप से आयोजित किया।

5. They noted with satisfaction the study visit carried out by experts from the European Commission and the European Medicines Agency (EMEA), which has contributed to a better understanding of the Ayurveda system in order to advance the ongoing regulatory dialogue on the pharmaceutical sector.

उन्होंने यूरोपीय आयोग और यूरोपीय औषधि एजेंसी (ईएमईए) के विशेषज्ञों द्वारा किए गए अध्ययन दौरों पर संतोष व्यक्त किया जिसने भेषज क्षेत्र में वर्तमान विनियामक वार्ता आगे बढ़ाने के निमित्त आयुर्वेद पद्धति की बेहतर समझ हासिल करने में योगदान दिया है।

6. Despite the US Supreme Court indicating that patent linkage needs to be reconsidered and access to medicines should not be denied on allegation of patent infringement and recent attempts by Italy to introduce a system of patent linkage resulted in a notice from the European Commission asking for the removal of these provisions from Italian law, patent linkage is a real barrier to competition in healthcare which is beset with unaffordable drugs.

यूएस उच्चतम न्यायालय द्वारा यह संकेत दिए जाने के बावजूद कि पेटेंट लिंकेज पर फिर से विचार करने की जरूरत है तथा दवाओं तक पहुंच से पेटेंट के उल्लंघन के आरोप पर नकारा नहीं जाना चाहिए तथा पेटेंट लिंकेज का एक सिस्टम शुरू करने के लिए इटली द्वारा हाल के प्रयास यूरोपीय आयोग की ओर से एक नोटिस के रूप में परिणत हुए जिसमें इटली के कानून से इन प्रावधानों को हटाने की मांग की गई, पेटेंट लिंकेज स्वास्थ्य देखरेख में प्रतियोगिता के लिए वास्तविक बाधा है जिससे महंगी दवाओं का मार्ग प्रशस्त होगा।
