1. The Ordinance, inter-alia, provides for expeditious confiscation of proceeds of crime and properties or benami property owned by a fugitive economic offender in India or abroad with a view to make him submit to the jurisdiction of Courts in India.

इस अध्यादेश में अन्य बातों के साथ-साथ अपराध की काली कमाई और भारत में अथवा विदेश में रह रहे किसी भगोड़े आर्थिक अपराधी की संपत्ति अथवा बेनामी संपत्ति को शीघ्र जब्त करने की व्यवस्था है ताकि उन अपराधियों को भारतीय न्यायालयों के समक्ष समर्पण करने के लिए बाध्य किया जा सके।
