4. - Concerning the cultivation of flax and adulteration of dairy products, OLAF has conducted investigations covering Spain and Italy.

- Im Zusammenhang mit dem Flachsanbau und der Verfälschung von Milcherzeugnissen hat das OLAF in Spanien und Italien Untersuchungen durchgeführt.

5. Furthermore both isolation, separation, identification, determination of anthocyanins, and their importance for foods and their suitability for detection of adulteration in wines and fruit products are described.

FÄLSCHUNGEN ODER ORDNUNGSWIDRIGKEITEN , DIE VOR DEM ENTSCHEIDUNGSERHEBLICHEN ZEITRAUM IN EINZELFÄLLEN FESTGESTELLT WURDEN , KÖNNEN KEINESFALLS EINEN ALLGEMEINEN VERDACHT GEGENÜBER ALLEN EINFUHREN VON ITALIENISCHEN WEINEN RECHTFERTIGEN UND SYSTEMATISCHE ANALYSEN ERLAUBEN , WÄHREND ES FÜR FRANZÖSISCHEN WEIN KEIN ENTSPRECHENDES VERFAHREN GIBT .

7. May I therefore conclude that the Commission has changed its attitude to this issue since its reply to Question E-1227/01, stating that the Commission does not share the Honourable Member's view that there is an urgent need to take further measures to prevent fraud and product adulteration?
