1. (d) Entitlement to accommodation for different levels of officers is very clearly defined in the relevant rules, both in terms of plinth area and level of furnishing.

2. Entitlement to accommodation for different levels of officers posted to Indian Missions/Posts abroad is governed by Indian Foreign Service (Pay, Leave and Compensatory Allowance) Rules - IFS (PLCA) Rules, in terms of size and furnishing.

विदेश स्थित भारतीय मिशनों/केंद्रों में तैनात भिन्न-भिन्न स्तर के अधिकारियों के लिए आवास के आकार और साज सज्जा की दृष्टि से आवास की पात्रता, भारतीय विदेश सेवा (वेतन, छुट्टी और प्रतिपूरक भत्ता) नियमावली - आई एफ एस (पी एल सी ए) द्वारा शासित होती है ।

3. In 2013, Reuters reported that a “secretive” unit within the Drug Enforcement Administration (“DEA”), the Special Operations Division, was furnishing tips to US law enforcement agents based on intelligence surveillance data, while instructing those agents to create an alternative explanation for how they found any resulting evidence—thus concealing the original tip.[

2013 में रायटर्स ने खबर दी कि जहाँ ड्रग एन्फोर्समेंट एडमिनिस्ट्रेशन (डीईए) की एक गुप्त इकाई, स्पेशल ऑपरेशन डिवीज़न खुफिया निगरानी आंकड़ों के आधार पर अमेरिकी कानून प्रवर्तन एजेंटों के लिए टिप्स तैयार कर रहा था, वहीं उन एजेंटों को इस बात के लिए कि उन्होंने परिणाम देने वाले साक्ष्य कैसे प्राप्त किए, का अलग स्पष्टीकरण देने के निर्देश दे रहा था – इसप्रकार मूल टिप्स को छुपा रहा था.[

4. The Government has decided that normal passport applications of all first time applicants furnishing Aadhaar Card, Electoral Photo Identity Card (EPIC), PAN Card and a self- affidavit of non-criminality in the prescribed format will be processed on Post-Police Verification basis, enabling faster issue of passport, without payment of any additional fees, subject to successful online validation of Aadhaar number.

सरकार ने निर्णय लिया है कि आधार कार्ड, वोटर फोटो पहचान पत्र (ईपीआईसी), पैन कार्ड और निर्धारित प्रपत्र में गैर आपराधिकता के स्व-शपथ पत्र प्रस्तुत करने वाले पहली बार के आवेदनकर्ताओं के सामान्य पासपोर्ट आवेदनों पर बाद में पुलिस सत्यापन के आधार पर कार्रवार्ई की जाएगी जिससे आधार नम्बर के सफलतापूर्वक ऑनलाइन वैधीकरण के अध्यधीन बिना किसी अतिरिक्त शुल्क का भुगतान किए पासपोर्ट तेजी से जारी किया जा सकेगा।

5. * In order to further improve and liberalize Police Verification procedure for passport issuance, the Government has decided that henceforth normal passport applications of all first time applicants furnishing Aadhaar, Electoral Photo Identity Card (EPIC), Permanent Account Number (PAN) Card and an affidavit in the format of Annexure-I will be processed on Post-Police Verification basis, enabling faster issue of passport, without payment of any additional fees, subject to successful online validation of Aadhaar number.

* पासपार्ट जारी करने के लिए पुलिस सत्यापन प्रक्रिया में और सुधार करने एवं उदार बनाने के उद्देश्य से सरकार ने निर्णय लिया है कि आधार, चुनावी फोटो पहचान पत्र (ई पी आई सी), स्थाई खाता संख्या (पैन) कार्ड तथा अनुबंध 1 के फार्मेट में हलफनामा प्रस्तुत करने वाले पहली बार आवेदन करने वाले सभी आवेदकों के पासपोर्ट के लिए सामान्य आवेदनों की अब से पुलिस सत्यापन पश्चात आधार पर आधार नंबर की सफल आनलाइन पुष्टि के अधीन अतिरिक्त शुल्क के भुगतान के बगैर प्रोसेस किया जाएगा।

पासपोर्ट जारी किए जाने के लिए पुलिस सत्यापन प्रक्रिया में सुधार करने तथा उसे और उदार बनाने के क्रम में सरकार ने यह निर्णय लिया है कि आधार, मतदाता पहचान पत्र (ईपीआईसी), स्थायी खाता सं. (पीएएन) तथा अनुबंध-I के प्रपत्र में शपथ-पत्र के साथ पहली बार आवेदन करने वाले सामान्य पासपोर्ट आवेदकों को अतिशीघ्र पासपोर्ट जारी किए जाने के लिए उनके आवेदन पर बिना किसी अतिरिक्त शुल्क के पश्च- पुलिस सत्यापन आधार पर कार्रवाई की जाएगी, बशर्ते उनकी आधार संख्या का सफल ऑनलाइन वैधीकरण हो जाता है।

7. In order to further improve and liberalize Police Verification procedure for passport issuance, the Ministry announced on 25 January, 2016 that normal passport applications of all first time applicants furnishing Aadhaar, Electoral Photo Identity Card (EPIC), Permanent Account Number (PAN) Card and an affidavit in the prescribed format that no criminal proceedings were pending against the applicant will be processed on Post-Police Verification basis, enabling faster issue of passport, without payment of any additional fees.

पासपोर्ट जारी करने हेतु पुलिस जांच प्रक्रिया में सुधार करने तथा इसे अधिक उदार बनाने के लिए मंत्रालय ने 25 जनवरी, 2016 को घोषणा की है कि पहली बार सामान्य पासपोर्ट हेतु आवेदन करने वाले जिन आवेदकों ने आधार कार्ड, मतदाता फोटो पहचानपत्र, स्थायी लेखा संख्या (पीएएन) कार्ड और निर्धारित प्रपत्र में यह शपथपत्र दिया हो कि उस आवेदक के विरुद्ध कोई भी आपराधिक कार्यवाही लंबित नहीं है, उनके आवेदन पर पुलिस द्वारा बाद में सत्यापन किए जाने के आधार पर कार्रवाई की जाएगी, जिससे पासपोर्ट जारी करने की प्रक्रिया में तेजी आएगी तथा इसके लिए कोई अतिरिक्त शुल्क नहीं लिया जाएगा।
