1. The ESC therefore calls on the EMI to intensify its studies of the stability of monetary demand in the future currency area.

Der Ausschuß fordert das EWI deshalb auf, seine Studien bezüglich der Stabilität der Geldnachfrage im zukünftigen Währungsraum zu intensivieren.

2. Balance of payments estimates for # covering key items for the future single currency area will be compiled from data without breaking counterparties down into residents of countries participating in the single currency area and residents of other countries, and so will take the form of an aggregation of net balances in each category of the national balances of payments

Zahlungsbilanzschätzungen für # die Schlüsselpositionen des zukünftigen EuroWährungsraums abdecken, werden so berechnet werden, daß die Geschäftspartner nicht nach Ländern innerhalb des EuroWährungsraums und anderen Ländern gegliedert werden, und werden somit ein Aggregat der Nettosalden jeder Kategorie der nationalen Zahlungsbilanzen darstellen

3. The "model student among the new member states" – the Slovenes work hard to get this accolade and even harder to keep it and to reap the rewards: whereas Hungary and the Czech Republic had to postpone the introduction of the euro until kingdom come, the Slovenes were able to enter the joint currency area as planned on January 1, 2007. And from January 1, 2008 the government in Ljubljana holds the Presidency of the Council of the European Union.

„Musterschüler unter den Beitrittsländern“ – die Slowenen arbeiteten hart, um diese Auszeichnung zu bekommen, und noch härter, um sie zu behalten und den Lohn dafür zu ernten: Während Ungarn und Tschechien die Einführung des Euro auf den Sanktnimmerleinstag verschieben müssen, konnte Slowenien termingerecht am 1. Januar 2007 dem gemeinsamen Währungsraum beitreten.
